The Sunday Scoop

Today I'm trying a new link up from The Teaching Trio called The Sunday Scoop.

So without further ado, here is mine for today!

Each week I tell myself to get sorted and plan during the week, so I can prep resources for the next week on a Friday, but I'm still not into the routine yet, so I'll be at school at the crack of dawn tomorrow to prep. We also have data due very soon, so I need to finish getting the spreadsheets ready this week. And despite tomorrow being the beginning of Week 5 and all my beginning of year baseline assessments being completed... I have a new child starting tomorrow so she will need to be very quickly assessed to see where she fits in!

I hope to actually manage a mid-week blog post this week, I have a few bloggy ideas running through my head and I'd like to find the time to sit down and write one of them!! It's also been ages since I've made a freebie so I'd like to have a go at one of those.

And I'm very happy to be making a new display for my classroom as its one of my favourite things to do. I haven't decided what yet, but again I have a few ideas! I'll post a photo once its done.

Anyway, what is the scoop with you this week?

  2. I too wish I could find the time to blog mid week! It is so hard with all there is to do! Hopefully in the next month or so I can get into that routine!

  3. Good luck getting everything done! I hope things go well with your new student. I know what you mean about wanting to get everything ready on Friday before you leave. I haven't been able to do that yet either so I find myself rushing in every Monday morning.

  4. I can definitely relate to the assessing part. I have been doing that nonstop and still have another set to go. A student of mine is moving so I'm sure I'll be getting a new student soon, and will probably be assessing him/her on the tests that I have just completed for the rest of the class.

What display are you thinking about putting up? Is it a bulletin board to hang your students' work?

    Ha :)
