Double link up fun

Now I'm slightly more awake in this blogging world, I thought it was time to get back into my monthly link up with Oh Boy 4th Grade for her Currently linky party.

Listening - to my washing machine (this is actually a miracle as a couple of weeks ago I had an exploding washing machine/landlord refusing to replace it situation going on!)

Loving - parents' evenings the week after half-term break is NOT FUN, but they are done now and I love thats its months and months before that stress again.

Thinking - that my work to-do list is mountainous and I'm in denial about how I'm going to manage it!

Wanting - to be more efficient with my time in school (see above!)

Needing - to tidy my house as I've just had visitors staying for a few days and its quite messy now!

Yummy - my mother cooked when she was visiting here and left me some food to reheat when they left yesterday, so dinner tonight is sorted!! 

I also wanted to link up (on a Tuesday) for The Ordinary to Extraordinary's Meet the Teacher Monday... 

Due to circumstances out of my control, my 30th birthday celebration was delayed by 11 months, but it was completely worth it as myself and 13 friends ended up staying in a resort that looked like this...

I wish I was there now!!! But until that is possible, it is definitely my favourite birthday memory.

I know everyday posting will not be happening, but I came across a lovely link up today as I was perusing my Bloglovin' feed and thought why not have a go and at the same time show my little blog a bit more love?

So I've decided to join in with Trina at The Ordinary to Extraordinary Classroom for her 'Meet the Teacher Monday'.

This week she would like readers to post about their Halloween This or That. So here is mine...

No I cheated and didn't choose an answer for the last one as I don't watch Halloween themed movies (have a fear threshold of about 1!) and so I had to look them up as I'd never even heard of them let alone watched them! 

I've also never actually carved a pumpkin, but that definitely sounds more fun than just painting one! Although here is a throwback picture from last year that my tinies made...

Have you ever?

It's only Tuesday, so I consider this fairly successful for a Meet the Teacher Monday from me! Although luckily the rules from The Ordinary to Extraordinary Classroom allow any day of the week posting!

1. Have you ever been on TV? 
I've been an extra in a film (Tomb Raider 2 should you wish to see my moment of fame, blink and you'd miss it!)

2. Have you ever been trapped in an elevator? 
No thank goodness as I'm not great in confined spaces!

3. Have you ever made anyone cry? 
I've made a child cry multiple times by using the words 'we are going to write now'. It got to the stage where I did all my modelling and handed her a pencil without ever using the word (I still don't know what she thought we were going to do with the pencil other than write!)

4.Have you ever walked into a window because it was just that clean? 
Nope, but I've seen it happen!

5. Have you ever fainted in public? 
Again, no, but my doctor is surprised that with my blood pressure I don't faint on a daily basis.

6. Have you ever gone to a restaurant and ate, only to realize you didn't have any money? 
I think I would just about die of embarrassment if that happened!

7. Have you ever gone to greet a family member or friend and then noticed it was someone else?
Yes all the time, from when I was a child. Its how I make new friends half the time.

Meet the Teacher...um... Tuesday?

I recently found a blog also written by someone new to the teaching blogging world and she has already got her own weekly linky party which she hosts every Monday, so this week I thought I would join in even though its Tuesday! Come join Trina at The Ordinary to Extraordinary Classroom.

Meet the Teacher Monday: The Business of Blogging 

1. How long have you been a blogger? I've been blogging since November!

2. Do you have any blogs other than your teacher/education blog? Nope, showing all my love for this baby!

3. What niche is your blog in? Education, specifically for the younger years.

4. Do you have plans to start any other blogs? Not at the moment, although 

I do enjoy reading other people's personal blogs.

5. What do you enjoy most about blogging? I enjoy the interaction with others, the sharing of ideas, inspirations and resources and the comments/feedback people leave for me!

6.  What do you enjoy least about blogging? Having to be patient while I build up a following, I want to feel that I'm not just writing to thin air!

7.  How often do you blog? No set amount, depends on how much free time and whether I have an idea or product to blog about! Ideally 2-3 times a week. 

8.  If you could meet anyone from the blogosphere, who would it be? Amy from Step into Second Grade with Mrs Lemons. I love her style of writing and products!

9. Are there any hot-button issues you will not discuss on your blog?  I wouldn't comment on other people's parenting style. I'm not one to judge!

10.  Name one thing (or more) that you would like to accomplish with your blog? I want to help other teachers, particularly those just starting out in their careers with ideas and resources. Teaching can be a very rewarding job, but also can take it out of you, so any little help you can get elsewhere is invaluable!
